We are Dead Ocean is a concept album about a couple living in a pre-post apocalyptic California, just as a drug called "Malibu", created by the Dead Ocean Society, begins turning the population into zombified creatures. The couple struggle against this approaching new world, while trying to protect each other in hopes of trying to survive as everything comes apart around them.

Originally conceived as a full length album, We are Dead Ocean only ever saw release as an incomplete EP in 2009. Here for the first time in its entirety, complete with unreleased tracks, as well as some remixed and re-recorded ones, is the entire album. Also included is the original demo for the song "Malibu" and the original EP mix of "Glass Kingdoms'.
